"For years, we have been bringing national and international experts in the dental field into our community," explained Dr. Paul Mitsch, owner of Augusta Family Dentistry since 1979.  "Now, we have a facility that allows us to share knowledge and technology with our colleagues and their staffs in an intimate setting."

Since its establishment, AFDTraining Center, Inc. has held numerous continuing education events and has hosted speakers such as Rose Nierman, Nierman Practice Management; Dr. M.A. Marzouk, Washington University instructor; and other various representatives in dental technologies.

While to many other dentists it would make sense to move to a  bigger community, we disagree.  Augusta is our home and has been since 1979.  We know our patients and they have become our friends.  We know the downtown community and have built relationships within the community that are priceless.  And while we have expanded our practice to meet our patients' needs and to provide the best care possible, this community has allowed for that expansion and has provided us with a wonderful place to house our practice.  In addition, we open our Training Center to dentists and health care professionals who come to Augusta from other states - and other countries - to study.
